Global Warming!!!

Ok, so last week it was well over 100 degrees. It was scorching. I would pour water on myself and sit in front of a fan to try to (unsuccessfully) cool off. But this week it's been in the low 60s. It's been thunder & lightningy, rainy, grey, and cold. This is all within one week. What on earth? This is scary stuff, people. A week ago I could have boiled an egg on my forehead and this week I'm wearing two pairs of socks. Beware!

got my head in the clouds

Wow. If blogging were a class, I'd fail. I suck at this thing. Mainly due to my lack of updating because I am just writing this to myself and I already know what's going on in my life.

In a cloud, flying from Paris back to the U.S.

However, sometimes things can get hazy. I often find myself forgetting little things. Is this due to amnesia or ADD or just a bad memory? I talk to someone and ask them a question and they said, "You asked me that already." It's not as though I forget something that just happened, but if if the memory is weeks old, my brain forgets it.

The clouds and one of many beautiful churches in Budapest.

My brain is a sponge, but just like a sponge, once it gets so full of water, the water just kinda drips out until it isn't so concentrated. There are so many things a person must know, so many memories, formulas, dates, birthdays, phone numbers, facts, people, names, assignments, duties...

I promise the clouds in Europe are more beautiful than the ones here.

I guess my brain just kind of wipes out what it deems unimportant. Sometimes I don't think it does such a good job knowing what it should forget. For instance, I just had my first test and my brain thinks I don't need to know who John Milton and James Franklin are anymore. Meanwhile, I can tell you the middle names of all my friends.

Week 3

Yet another long gap between posts. You see, I am still trying to see if this whole blogging thing is for me. I am not sure how I feel about anyone and their mother reading about my life (that's obviously why I don't reveal all). Or...maybe nobody is looking at this and in the end, I am writing to myself. How sad.

Starting week 3 of my 3rd year of university. Um, excuse me...last time I checked, I was 10 years old. Where did my life go? Was I asleep? Did somebody live my life in my body; was I just recently switched back?

Summer Cleaning

Spring cleaning...definitely more like summer cleaning. By cleaning, I mean the kind that takes hours or even days to organize because it only gets messier. This kind of cleaning results in the feeling of satisfaction of knowing that everything you own, now has a place.

I owe this pleasure of rearranging due to now having my own room; my roommate & I separated rooms at last. I studied the art of feng shui for hours, only to arrange & arrange again. I'll see how I like it. I try to utilize everything I own, so all my empty perfume boxes & other containers have a purpose: an art box, another for magazie cutouts, scrapbooking, various technical hardware, chords, etc.

Last summer:

Back Home

After being kidnapped by my friends at 4 in the morning, I have finally made it back to my home. I was away for just over a month, traveling abroad with my family. I saw so many exquisite sights, & experienced new cultures, languages, & foods.

Paris, France

Budapest, Hungary

However, it is good to be back. It is wonderful to feel completely at home.
I can sleep in:
without feeling guilty about not seeing more of Budapest.
I know where I am:
so I won't be ripped off by souvenir shops.
I can cook:
now I don't have to eat out for three meals a day.
I work:
yeah, that one just sucks, I'd rather be in Prague.

Inspired by this trip, I am currently saving money to travel for the summer with my friend after graduation. I must research how much this will cost.

One Year Ago

365 days is a long time. Whenever I take a moment to look back, my life seems to whiz by. All the while when I look forward, life seems so long. As I grow older each day, I learn. I learn from mistakes. I learn from others. I learn from the past. Most importantly, I learn for the future.

A year ago today, I was playing darts, drinking some drinks, in a garage with my guy friends. My life now is drastically different from my life a year ago. I don't talk or hear from those guys friends anymore. I learned that it is true that men and women can't be "just friends," at least if one is in love with you and the feeling is not reciprocated.

365 days ago this is what I saw:
Never saw these darts again.

Perhaps this was eaten.

Shoes were a lot whiter a year ago.
Oh how life has changed.

I am a year wiser, with a hell of a lot more experiences and memories. I liked me then, but I like me now even more.
